Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased from Protégé Casual Furniture Inc. (cast, tubular, extruded aluminum products, wicker products, parasols, etc.).

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship (manufacturer defects) under normal usage during the Warranty Period.

During the Warranty Period, Protégé Casual Furniture Inc. will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship (manufacturer defects), under normal use and maintenance.

Protégé Casual Furniture Inc. will either repair or replace the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts.

The Warranty Period for Physical Goods purchased from Protégé Casual Furniture Inc. varies dependant on the specific Product and its materials.

Cast/Tubular/Extruded Aluminum Products: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that its furniture is free from manufacturing defects or breakage as of the date of purchase for 7 years under normal usage and maintenance.

Wicker (PE/PVC) Products: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that its furniture is free from manufacturing defects, breakage, or abnormal fading as of the date of purchase for 1 year under normal usage and maintenance.

Powder Coating Finished Products: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that its powder coating finish against peeling, cracking, or blistering for 3 years from the original date of purchase under normal usage and maintenance.

Swivel Mechanisms: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that its swivel mechanism products are free from breakage or manufacturing defect for 2 years from the original date of purchase under normal usage and maintenance.

Sun Garden Parasol Products: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that any Easy Sun Parasol frame is free from workmanship and manufacturer defects for 2 years from the original date of purchase under normal usage and maintenance.

The umbrella cord has a 1 year warranty. Warranty does not cover any type of wind damage, animal attacks, flood, fire, abuse, damages from improper setup or use, or “acts of god”.

This warranty covers seams coming undone and fading. Warranty does not cover: punctures, tears, rips, pulls, any type of wind damage, any type of stain, animal attacks, flood, fire, abuse, damages from improper setup or use, or “acts of god”.

Protégé offers replacement parts covered by the warranty at no charge, however, customers must pay for shipping of the parts. If customers can return the unit to Protégé, Protégé will install free of charge.

Market Umbrella Bases: Protégé Casual warrants to the original purchaser that its granite or polycrete market umbrella bases are free of workmanship and manufacturer defects to the entire unit for 1 year.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:

  • Conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship (manufacturer defect)
  • Failure of furniture which, by our discretion, was caused by; acts of god, accident, neglect, improper shipping & handling, or unreasonable or abusive use.

  • Fill out the appropriate information for your warranty claim and include proof of purchase and attach photos of the product showing the issues if possible. * Please specify if you are a Business or Consumer
  • Once submitted, you will receive a ticket ID to your registered e-mail. Please remember to associate your ticket ID number with your product when you return it to Protégé Casual Furniture.

Repair Instructions For Easy Sun Parasols

  • Loosen the fixing screws from block and slider with a screw driver
  • Remove the handle (with a Allen key 4 mm)
  • Remove the winch housing cover.
  • Pull the drum and drum axle from the winch housing.
  • Put a short round tube or similar in the winch housing and hammer slightly to remove the winch housing from the sliding tube. You can remove the block now.
  • Remove the sliding piece from the stand tube (the second part to the below, at the side where the whinch housing has been.)
  • Install the new slider now.
  • All dismounted parts have to be assembled in reverse order.

Care & Cleaning Instructions

  • Wash all dust/dirt off frames with soap and water
  • Use a soft bristled brush to gently remove dirt that does not come off by spraying frames with water
  • DO NOT use any chemical products to remove dust/dirt
  • Be sure to rinse away any remaining soap residue
  • Regular dish soap (ex. Dawn) will suffice
  • To extend the lifespan of the powder coated paint finish, Protégé recommends to use a Clear Coat Matte Finish spray. The spray must be evenly distributed ONE TIME per year (in the spring) and allowed to dry before being put outside.
  • All products can be left outdoors all year round, however, it is HIGHLY recommended that the products are covered when not being used and especially during the winter months. Excess sun exposure may cause fading.
  • Wash all dust/dirt off frames with soap and water
  • Use a soft bristled brush to gently remove dirt that does not come off by spraying frames with water
  • DO NOT use any chemical products to remove dust/dirt
  • Be sure to rinse away any remaining soap residue
  • All products can be left outdoors all year round, however, it is HIGHLY recommended that the products are covered when not being used and especially during the winter months. Excess sun exposure may cause fading.
  • DO NOT use wicker products without the required cushions. Excess/direct pressure on the woven wicker may cause it to loosen or come undone.
  • Remove and wash the canopy with a mild detergent
  • DO NOT put the canopy in the dryer
  • Replace the wet canopy on the umbrella frame to air dry
  • Wash all dust/dirt off frames with soap and water
  • Use a soft bristled brush to gently remove dirt that does not come off by spraying frames with water
  • DO NOT use any chemical products to remove dust/dirt
  • Be sure to rinse away any remaining soap residue
  • All products can be left outdoors all year round, however, it is HIGHLY recommended that the products are covered when not being used and especially during the winter months. Excess sun exposure may cause fading.
  • Be sure to follow ALL instructions when installing the appropriate propane tank and abide by local by-laws.
